Melanoma

The ABC's of Melanoma

A - Assymetry: one half of pigmented mole unlike the other half.

B - Border irregular: edges of mole scalloped or poorly defined.

C - Color varied: areas of tan, brown, black; sometimes white, red or blue.

D - Diameter larger than a #2 pencil eraser; just under 1/4 inch.

E - Evolving: When a mole changes in size, shape, color, or begins to bleed.
